Guest guest
Hi folks, I have a 40 yo female @ 33 wks gestation. She has hx Hashimoto's that is currently well managed. Her TPO in 2/09 was 648, just prior to conception was 160 and now is at 61. TSH has been WNL for 6 months and she is maintained on 60 mg compounded "Thyrolar" QD. She is incredibly diligent with BTG's, although her COP's have fallen away in the last few visits. She has been doing Undas for over a year. My question is, given the Th1/ Th2 shifts that occur during pregnancy, I am not entirely convinced these trends with her TPO will continue after the birth. How would you all support a patient like this, aside from what I have already made note of? Specific gemmos, gammadyns, organos, other remedies? Also bearing in mind that her routine will undoubtedly be challenged with a new born, among other stressors. This is the first time I have walked with an AI patient through a pregnancy and post partum period. Any thoughts or advise welcome! Many thanks,Jeannie Jeannie Achuff, NDBerkeley, CAOriginsofHealthNaturalMedicine.com
