Awww shucks, Hillary...

While it's true that folks with thyroid disease

should *not* indulge

in soy (or root veggies), if we eliminated

every food that *might*

affect our thyroid adversely... we would be

eating nothing but bread

and water!

Eat what you like, just do so in moderation!

With soy products (such as tofu, cooking oil,

vitamins containing "lecithin",

etc.) simply consume them a few hours apart

from your thyroid med.

BTW... what's the verdict? Is the new

doc treating you?

Kindest Regards,

Genie

I eat soy regularly. I think most important is keeping regularity.

Eat a certain amount of soy and broccoli etc. every week. Don't go 3

months with no soy and brassica vegetables, then spend 2 weeks eating

soy and brussel sprouts for every meal, or you will definitely feel

side effects.

I already low-carb, so if I eliminate these veggies and soy, my life

will be terribly miserable. Worse that will happen if you eat it

regularly is you will need more medication. Even if I have to one day

be at 300mcg Synthroid and 50mcg Cytomel to do it, it is not gonna

stop me. LOL
