Guest guest
Hunger is not my problem. Thirst is. I have more bottled water and flavored water with splenda in my refrig than food. I was tested and am not diabetic. The real age test asks about diet, exercise, cholesterol, blood pressure, weight, etc. The report said I was 3 yrs younger than my age. I exercised too much and need to eat a few raw nuts once a week. The harris benedict site recommended by the Cancer Society said I was overweight and needed to eat less, but does not take into account exercise. I have no idea what my FT-4 is. The last time it was tested was when I consulted my sister's endo two years ago. My doctor can't get the TSH, T3 and T4 right and refuses to run other tests. I tried the three hour diet ( six small meals daily) and lost nothing. I burned 18,500 calories in May from aerobic exercise and lifted 1,000,000 pounds to date. I followed Dr Oz's "You on a diet" book, walked 30 minutes daily and had the same results. Following the extreme make over trainers diet and exercise book was no different. I weigh 2 pounds more than when I saw my sister's endo two years ago. I thought of going back to consult her, but she gave up her practice for medical research. When I went on vacation for three days, I ate two good meals daily, swam once and shared a malt with a friend. I drank water instead of slpenda beverages and slept more. Has anyone heard of artificial diabetes from consuming too much artificial sweetner? The doctors in my family confirmed this. Could consuming Splenda be causing me not to lose weight? I consume 6 packets and one splenda drink daily. Watching friends and relatives lose a lot of weight and me nothing is so discouraging. , I believe I have read that many of the artificial sweetners actually stimulate appetite. I am a little confused about the statement you made about "Real Age suggests cutting down on exercise and eat nuts." Could you explain that? I am also wondering if your thyroid is functioning at the top of its level. I can tell you as a Grave's patient that if my FT4 is not high enough I will not lose weight very fast. That might be something to explore. Also, I agree with the other lady who suggests that you eat more frequent and smaller meals. This really works for me. I am also a big advocate for building muscle since it burns more calories than fat ..and also I believe in cardio training. I am constantly battling my weight too because I am short and I seem to have an oral fixation. LOL! Happily, I don't smoke! Anyway, I prefer stevia to artificial sugars because it is natural and doesn't have all those awful side effects that Splenda and aspartame have. Just google: The Dangers of Artificial Sweetners...or something along those lines and see what you come up with! Very sobering indeed!
