Hashimoto's and Insurance

Has anyone had a problem once diagnosed with Hashi's and thier

insurance labeling them as a high risk? Just wondering as I could never

get a doc to test me so I had it done myself.

The last doc I went to said she did not know how to treat it anyway, so

she wasn't going to test for it. (arg) I am not sure if my new doc

knows either, as I got a blank stare when I asked about it.

Anyway, I am trying to decide if I should tell my doc I tested positive

for Hashi's, mostly due to the insurance thing. We are self employed so

we have to pay for our own and it costs enough as it is.

Any advise on this would be so welcome. I have to go back to the doc in

about 3 weeks.

Thanks.
