Workshop '07 & other TFCA Business

Hi everyone,

First up, the news everyone has been waiting for-we have put bids out for Workshop '07 & anticipate being able to confirm dates & location sometime in January, though we do anticipate currently it will be sometime in early October. If you have ideas for speakers or topics you'd like to see included, please e-mail me directly @ LAguiar@...

Membership '07-the 2007 TFCA Membership Enrollment Forms are available on the TFCA site at http://www.tfcassociation.org/membership_criteria.htm Complimentary w/paid membership in '07 will be the 5th Edition TFCA Resource Guide, which will be distributed at the upcoming 14th Annual UNOS Transplant Mgmt Forum in April & mailed to those not in attendance after, as well as reduced rate registration at Workshop '07 for Members & Associate Members in Good Standing. We also anticipate being able to offer additional discounts for multiple '07 TFCA Members attending the Workshop from the same center, so please be sure to get your '07 Dues in ASAP.

At the 6th Annual TFCA Meeting last month in Redondo Beach, a number of Committees were set up to work on various TFCA activites. For a list of those Committees & their charge, please visit the TFCA site at http://www.tfcassociation.org/committees.htm For questions re: an individual Committee, please contact the Board Chair listed.

Finally, for all those who have been keeping track, the Terms of all sitting Officers & Trustees of TFCA are up in '07. We currently anticipate having the 7th Annual TFCA Meeting in conjunction w/Workshop '07 in October. The Board has voted to postpone elections until the Annual Meeting, so as to not disrupt planning for the Workshop & any contractual obligations in place for it with vendors & suppliers. We will be soliciting candidates for all Officer & Trustee spots during late spring or early summer, but don't feel you have to be nominated by someone else to run for a position-it's perfectly acceptable to throw your own hat into the ring!
