Guest guest
Mine seems to have this very sore spot in the center of it and it sometimes stings and burns. I have soaked and sloughed off but doesn't seem to help. It is on the ball of the foot in the middle. Keeping the circle on it does help to cushion and help some with the pain. If you have someone that can shave or scrape off the opaque surface, then check the sore center with a magnifier glass (we use a geologists magnifier) they might be able to see the dark " seeds " of a plantar wart if they are present. My husband's callus is sore, but mostly because it is like walking on a big lump, but he doesn't have the real pain that a plantar wart causes. sol

Guest guest
Several years ago I had a callus exactly as this one is described - the podiatrist would shave it down and it would come back within 2 or 3 months - as soon as I found a shoe to fit my wide feet I had no further problems. Guest guest
Put some castor oil on a piece of cotton. Fasten it in place over the callus with adhesive tape and cover it with a thick sock so it doesn't get on the sheets. Keep it on over night until it softens up the callus. Do a google search of callus and castor oil. Guest guest
Just to throw it out there, I've been using magnesium oil on the soles of my feet at night (not every night but about every third night I remember to do it). I've noticed the calluses on the bottom of my feet are getting softer and thinner. I've had these calluses my whole life, because of the bones in my feet not being quite the right shape so my weight wears on part more than the rest. I really didn't expect to see the magnesium oil do anything to them. > > > > > > > Several years ago I had a callus exactly as this one is described - the > > > > podiatrist would shave it down and it would come back within 2 or 3 > > months > > > > - > > > > as soon as I found a shoe to fit my wide feet I had no further > > problems. > > > > > > > > Jane > > > > > > > > > > ------------------------------------ > > > > List Home Page: > > > > http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/DimethylSulfoxide-DMSO > > > > Books: > > DMSO Nature's Healer by Morton > > MSM The Definitive Guide by Stanely MD and Appleton, NDYahoo! > > Groups Links > > > > > > > > > > >
