Hi group. Hope all is well in your world. I am needing a little help on a case. I have a specific question but will give you the background on the case. 39yo female was dxd in October with Parkinson's. Had sxs for about 3-4 yrs. She has progressed quite quickly and therefore is currently on carbidopa/levadopa and mirapix. Miasm: syoctic into luetic. She is a first born and has issues with neglecting her duty. She is a principal, care giver for her granny with dementia (granny lives in the dining room), and mother of two. Her largest complaints at this time include sleep and rigidity but cranial sacral has been very helpful thus far. I need help on the physical/physiological aspect. Much of

the research in Europe is pointing towards deficiency in kreb's cycle at alpha keto glutarate and many have been looking at treatment using CoQ10, ALA, antioxidants specifically Vit A and tumeric to counteract the deposition of lewy bodies and possible degradation of them. She has tested (=) to the Park gene. My theory is that the Parkinson's was set off by a virus either at age 15 or 8 years ago. This could be a further justification for the Vitamin A protocol. However, she had a full gastric bypass 3-4 yrs ago which was when her sxs truly manifested. My concern is with giving her the amount of fat soluble supplements with PMH of gastric bypass (CoQ10, ALA and Vita A). Due to long-term issues around weight and her now being on the mirapix she has gained another 30 pounds. I want to be mindful of her gall bladder (she is a perfect person to lose that as well) and I am not sure if she is going to be able to

breakdown the fat solubles to even have a significant effect due to the bypass. Her emunctories are obviously compromised at this time so we are working on this as well. Here are my current treatment options I am considering:1. Implement the standard Vit A protocol with the Co Q10, fish oil and ALA. I may keep her on the Vitamin A protocol for 3-6 months at low dose.2. Or slowly titrate up and then add the CoQ10, fish oil and ALA.3. Or slowly titrate up while on the CoQ10, fish oil, and ALA.4. Leave off fish oil until she is at a low dose of the Vit A protocol.5. I might be able to have Vitamin A patches made by a local compounding pharmacist to bypass the oral route for the Vitamin A protocol. I might know within 3 days.6. Other??? Would love your thoughts. Thanks,Leah HollonVansant, VA 24656
