Guest guest
I have a patient traveling to Thailand (only two days) and Bhutan (between Tibet, China and India) for two weeks. In Bhutan she'll be at 6000 feet elevation or above. since it's not tropical she's not concerned about malaria. Her concern is about Thailand. She is hearing from her travel guides that she should get Hep A and B and Tetanus (combined with Diptheria and something else, she's unsure) She's been taking natural liver support supplementally for years. Should she be concerned? What do you know and is there any compelling reason to have them OR not to have them? My only concern is that in the past 6 months she's had two serious infected elbows both that came on from minor trauma. She's been on antibiotics for each episode. This last infection was 12/24/09 and she reports that her elbow has returned to normal size but there's still minimal excess lymph on her elbow. We would appreciate any input....
