Workshop Hotel Reservations

Hi everyone,

Good news-you can go ahead & start making hotel reservations for the Workshop for Financial Coordinators, scheduled for Feb 16-18, 2005. Please note-reservations should only be made by calling the reservations center directly at the phone#'s listed below to ensure that you receive the Workshop room rate. Space is limited, so making reservations early is a good idea. If you have any problems making a reservation, please let me know. Please see below for additional information regarding travel for the Workshop & be sure to check the Workshop website for additional information as it becomes available http://www.tfcassociation.org/workshop.htm We are making plans for a special social event or two on Friday, February 18 & Saturday, February 19 & will announce those plans as soon as they are final.

We are still finalizing speakers for the program itself, but will make the agenda & registration information available just as quickly as possible.

HOTEL LOCATION & INFORMATION

Hotel Sofitel at 8555 Beverly Boulevard, Los Angeles is known for the charm and elegance reminiscent of a County French Chateau with a blend of California Chic. LA's best location across from shops and attractions of the Beverly Center. Sofitel is minutes from World Class shopping on Rodeo Drive and Melrose Avenue. Sofitel is located on restaurant row and just steps away from the area's hottest night spots on Sunset.

HOTEL ACCOMMODATIONS

Call Hotel Sofitel at or no later than January 25, 2005 for meeting rates of $155 single/double occupancy (plus tax). To receive the group rate, be sure to mention you are attending the Transplant Financial Coordinators Association Workshop. The hotel will extend the rate three days prior to or three days post the event dates are subject to availability. Check in time is 3:00 pm, check out time is 12:00 pm. To secure your hotel reservation, please make your reservations as soon as possible!

AIR TRAVEL

UNOS Travel has been designated as the official travel agency for the Transplant Financial Coordinators Workshop. Please book early to ensure the most desirable flights and fares. Typically the best fares are nonrefundable we encourage you to ask about all restrictions prior to ticketing. Please call UNOS at ext. 4830 or Monday through Friday between 8:30 am and 4:30 pm. EST.

AIRPORT TRANSPORTATION

Normal transfer time to and from the Los Angeles International Airport is 30 - 45 minutes. It is 20 miles to and from the hotel. Taxi fare is $35 - $37 one way or airport shuttle which is $16.50 one way. The Hotel Sofitel is also served by the Bob Hope Airport in Burbank (aka Burbank Airport).
