Hi there- this is just an idea:there is a homeopathic combo called Geovita, by

rubimed/ biomed. It is for geopathic stress. This seems to fit.

He is 70 and is recently experiencing spikes in blood pressure for no obvious

reason. History of mildly high BP but never enough to warrant going on meds.

Average has been high 130 to low 140 over anywhere from 70 to 92 but never

spiking suddenly. He believes it came on recently when we had a storm system

come through as if he was sensitive to the barometric pressure change. It was

kind of an unusual storm system for us; we rarely get humidity like that; it

felt like being on the east coast. Since then the bp has been going up

and down. Once the storm went through his BP settled down for three or four days

then another similar front came though and the same thing happened. Now both

storms are gone but the pattern remains. He also reports feeling pressure in his

right sinus. He's seen two MD's and both are mildly concerned but not

being super pushy about getting on meds. The patient would like to find out

what's going on rather than go on meds. He has bloodwork that I will see

tomorrow although his doctors say there's nothing significant. He has always had

unusually high HDL. He feels it in his head as a pressure and it can range from

130/78 and as high as 184/106. He's been taking aspirin because he described it

first to his doctor as a headache and it seems that aspirin my bring it down,

but that's not certain. He is not currently under any unusual stress. With

this kind of spiking, could it be related to sudden vaso-spasm? Could the

barometric pressure issue be significant? I'm hoping the doc ordered CRP. Aside

from a general screening which I hope also includes thyroid, anything else I

should consider? Maybe a sympathetic/parasymp imbalance? Any and all ideas

are welcome. i will see him late tomorrow afternoon.... I hope you all had as

beautiful a May day as we had here in the central coast, spring is so lovely

this year... sincerely, Sobyl Bunis Chiropractor Santa Barbara and San

Obispo
