As I play T.T with my son Ravtej, I tell him stories of our hostel days. There

was no T.V. or internet in those days. So we used to go to mess hall and play

T.T. Mahendele ( gamaya ) of our batch was the hero of the college, being

undisputed king of T.T of the state. He was so cool and calm while playing, the

opponent was ratteled on seeing his calmness.

I had fun playing with Jitender ( Jeeto, who is well setteled at Kullu), he

used to smash the TT ball. Shinde ( bruce lee of our batch, who is now in AIIMs)

was another fellow who used to enjoy T.T. He was always whisteling while

playing.

Kiran Swaroop used to come to play when ever he was in mood, he used to praise

my shots. Rajiv Tandon was heavy in those days also. He used to curse if the

ball didn't come to him directly.

I wonder if the T.T. is still popular.
