Guest guest
I found this report about and paying kickbacks to nursing homes to put their patients on its anti-schizophrenic drug Risperdal, tucked into an article on a Tylenol recall. Makes you wonder if the money spent in this manner could be redirected to trial orphan drugs and promote the corporate interests, perhaps more effectively, by garnering public image points for their humanitarian actions, instead of the current practice of illegal and unethical methods of kickbacks, political donations and lobbies. There is a different way to do this. http://www.dailyfinance.com/article//johnson-and-johnson-expands-tylenol/687419? Copyright 2009 The Associated Press " Also on Friday, Federal prosecutors in Boston said & paid tens of millions of dollars in kickbacks so nursing homes would put more patients on its blockbuster schizophrenia drug. The company gave special rebates to Omnicare Inc., the country's biggest company providing pharmacy services to nursing homes, in return for recommendations from its pharmacists that patients use Risperdal. Guest guest
I worked in Nursing Homes until 2006 and only ever met one " in-mate " on Risperdal, however after losing 24 cats and dogs in a house fire in 2000 and unable to stop crying, " they " put me on Risperdal - I had the following " reaction " I was in a controlled " unit " and felt forced to take it. (I never take any form of medication normally) all of these symptoms ceased once I stopped taking it, I was told it was " new " and being " trialed " . 1) Unable to defaecate 2) Intolerable back pain 3) Unable to stand up straight, therefore almost unable to walk.
