Hello Everyone!

I’ve attached an assessment of an 11 year old boy.

His parents wants him to be more focused, increase

writing skills (better vocabulary) show better anger management (He cries

easily as well), be more sociable and more flexible. He says he’s doing

ok. He llikes computerwork, and enjoys swimming. School can be difficult, but

he really doesn’t want to do better, even if there was an easy way.

Doing the assessment I noticed he remembered numbers

ok (F3F4). He couldn’t recall material he read at C3C4. Calculation

at P3P4 seemed very difficult. He was 50 % correct on the “T-H-E” task

at FzOz.. He had difficult remembering details in a listening task task

at T3 T4. (in the assessment the task recording contained too many artefacts to

be reliable, he might have been clenching his jaws). Other than that he seemed

very pleasant and cooperative. He seemed like a very visual person when I asked

him questions.

Question:

· In

the assesment’s “Heads chart” he’s got theta F3 = 21.8

% Fz=26% F4=22,4%. What does the elevated theta at Fz mean? Is this

a sign of the urge to stick to familiar routines and not trying new stuff. (I

guess L/R reversal would do that to).

· I

remember Pete talked about elevated Fz theta could be sign of burnt out

Cingulate.

· His

Peak Alpha frequency parietally is around 9 Hz. Is this normal for 11 year olds?

· What

about the high theta/beta ratios? Would it work beta up and theta down at C3?

· Any

other suggestions?

Training plan so

far:

· Train

down hot temporals at T3 and T4.

· Train

down Theta at Fz.

· L/R

reversals. Train down beta right. Train up alpha right (or train alpha

down)

· Beta

up, theta and alpha down at C3.

· Beta,

theta down at C4.

· Downtrain

Coherence F3F4, 15-38 Hz

· Uptrain

Coherence P3P4, 8-12.

Any suggestions or comments to the Assessment are

highly appreciated.

Thank you,

Jim
