I agree with you Marg. That is why we never take any suppliments or

bowel assistance med with flavor or sweetners. They are very

dangerous. The reason many people don't believe it or just don't

realize the danger is because it can take up to 48 hours before having

a reaction. MSG nearly killed me. And let me tell you it comes under a

ton of names. So even if someone wants to avoid it, it will take a lot

of work and investigation. We also will not take MSG's cousins

aspertame (Nutri Sweet), Splenda, or any other artifical sweetner.

For the most part I think Magnesium is safe for most people, cus most

are difficient. Plus most will get diareah from it and know to back

off. Notice I said most. There are acceptions.

Yes, herbals can be dangerous. But the safty factor is far greater

than with man made medicines. Most people that take herbals do their

research and know how to proceed and what to take. Because of that

research they actually know something, as apposed to the average

person that trust that their doc knows what he is talking about and

cares. What I am saying is that most taking natural suppliments do not

go into it blindly. They usually know what they are doing, and it is

safe for them. A very small percentage of folks taking natural

suppliments ever have a problem. That cannot be said of modern meds.

I agree that their are very few doctors that actually care. Isn't it

refreshing when you find one that does. I am frustrated right beside

you!! Right now I keep watching my 2 1/2 yo's rectum remain open

often. I know that she needs to be diagnosed properly, but when I took

her to the doc, he basically told me I was doing things all wrong. I

have been following his advice for over 2 years, but she is not

getting better....and that is my fault. Makes me want to scream. I

don't scream, but I do cry a lot.....

Hi Marg! I completely agree with you! We forbid any form of

artificial sweetners in our family. I think it is actually better to

use sugar(uuuugh). I try to keep honey around instead. Also there is

a natural sweetner called " Stevia " , comes from plant source! I find

it a little bitter!! It also does not raise blood surgar/safe for

diabetics. My cousin has full blown lupus! In hear research and going

to medical convention. She discovered it (artificial sweetners) are a

strong possible cause/trigger of lupus!! Years ago, I started school

and every morning when I got there I prept my coffee with

cremor/artificial sweetners. I started getting headaches(something

rare for me)! While there doing the coffee I was talking to a girl

about my headaches. She told me to consider stopping the nutra sweet

in my coffee. I stopped and so did the headaches! This was back in

the day when nutra sweet(aspartame) was the hot thing and in every

thing we just about ate/drank. Its sad, the FDA well approve all

these toxic things ie. sweetners, drugs, diet pills that kill, but

refuse to approve cancer cures that scientifically exsists! But there

is no money in it if cancer is cured, the killer drugs they approve

keeps the money pumping into the medical world from both the drugs

and then all the medical issues caused by them!! Jennie<><

Just a word of caution to those on the low oxalate diet...Stevia is not low oxalate at all; one chart (see link below) even lists is as "very high". http://lowoxalate.info/food_lists/alph_oxstat_chart.pdfJennie wrote: Hi Marg!
