Guest guest
Damien The problem in this case is, that his mother has experienced a period her son felt better and behaved better and it seems that she doesn't like to go back to the bad period (of course I understand that, but it had to do with the holliday. I didnt see him for about 6 or 7 weeks) but she went to the doctor in an impulsive way. I think it would have been better to wait till he felt better again and then to try to reduce the drug but now he gets more and something else, without talking about it and than doing neurofeedback is a bad case, so I first have talked about this problem. I also talk with the child how to change some things (for instance he talks through the talks from others. He's got a lot of negative reactions. I talk with him to try it in another way as an experiment to see what happens. He noticed that other persons reacted in a better way and that worked good. Melatonine is not meant to use for children, only when there's noticed an shortness of it. (although that's what I have read about it) Thank you for you reaction, Letty {Spam!} Re: {Spam!} Re: medication and TLC Hi Letty, Sorry it has taken me a while to get back to you (bloody work taking over again) In answer to your questions. 1. My son takes. a. SB FlorActiv b. Proxan c. Omega care for kids d. Ultra Muscleeze e. Zinc Fix f. Methyl-Max g. Enzyme, and h. Ural We were advised to take these after many tests by a well known ADHD (among other things) clinician in Melbourne, and it has worked wonders (he also helps us with the neurotherapy) 2. Sleep wise he is great (now) Before we started the training and supplements he was taking 2 dex and 1 catapres (spelling) in the morn, then 1 dex at lunch and finally 1 catapres after dinner to get him to sleep, and then some nights he would still be up at midnight going flat out. Now with the one dex and training/supplements he sleeps between 10 and 12 hours a night, every night 3. Side effects we noticed when he was on the high doses were a. lack of appetite (he fluctuated between 25 and 28 kgs - now he weighs 33) b. bad dreams (monsters and so on) c. night sweats (might have something to do with the dreams) d. he explained vision problems like blurred vision when coming down mid afternoon e. hand eye co-ordination problems f. headaches g. bruises everywhere and really easy Some of these may have come from other sources though Along with the supplements, we have also changed his diet to eliminate wheat, nuts, diary and soy after finding he was allergic to these If you need any more info please feel free to e-mail me off list.
