HCG levels

I have a patient who needs to have some blood work done to check her hcg level as she is 7 weeks pregnant. She has had some low back pain and spotting (both have gone away). She is waiting to go on OHP but she wants to run some blood work to make sure everything is proceeding correctly. Does anyone know what the hcg levels should be at 7 weeks and if you should run a follow up test quickly after to see if it is changing (doubling)? Dr. Dawson,

I will attempt to answer this question. Men's head hair has more testosterone receptors than their body hair. Hormones attach to the acid in the attempt to neutralize them and thus are pulled to the head.

In women the acids bind to estrogen and progesterone and are eliminated thru the menstrual blood monthly. Because men do not have that advantage they must exercise in order to eliminate their acidic toxins. I always tell my men patients to exercise more if they want to stay healthy because our sweat is full of acidic toxins. When women go thru menopause one of the best ways to eliminate hot flashes is to increase their exercise because they have lost their ability to eliminate the toxins thru the menstrual blood.

Hi EveryoneFor everyone who was at the Guenoit conference this weekend in Vancouver, I hope you got as much out of it as I did. He spoke about so many interesting things, but one that caught my attention was the idea of demineralization as an attempt by the body to neutralize an acidic environment. He was saying this was one of the main causes of hair loss in men. (and osteoporosis in women)I was sharing this with some friends over dinner and someone asked me, that if men loose their hair because their body is using up minerals to neutralize acid, then why is it that bald men very often have excessive body hair? Why loose head hair and then make lots of body hair? Hmm.... good question. Anyone have any ideas?Loreen Dawson, NDSechelt, BC
