Guest guest
Marg, When trying to diagnose a problem you need to look at "What have I done differently" 1) you took Miralax 2) you were exposed to a new night gard did you ever get the MSDA on the night gard to see what it is made of and to see if any of those side affects are on there? I think this would give you more information. It seems as though you are getting caught up in the allergy thing looking for answers and not focusing on what the key things you changed at the time I suspect that the Miralax being a poly made you sensitive to the night gard............. I also suspect that their would be information and factual statements on the MSDS's that say it can irritate the mouth becuase they are made from plastic..............margmessick wrote: I have been having a problem with my mouth inside the upper and lower lips and inside my right cheek getting sore ,red and irritated. It started when I had a new night mouth guard made by a dentist and the 3rd nite I wore it my mouth started burning and has not only been burning since april but on the right lower inner cheek area and that same side of my tongue gets red and so sore. i had a biopsy done and it showed chronic inflammation. I was on miralax and stopped it since april, but still have the problem. I tried changing meds, cutting out foods, had allergy tests which showed nickel allergy only. I'm beside myself and would appreciate any ones thoughts. I do chew trident gum and stopped that for a while,no luck. sometimes my mouth is so sore I can hardly eat. does anyone know that when they check for wheat allergies do they also check for gluten. I keep thinking it was the guard as it irritated my lips so bad that they peeled. any thoughts are appreciated. thanks marg
