Guest guest
Christie,I would think more about where her HTN may be coming from. Other systems, not simply CV system? If there is already adrenal involvement, what about the whole endocrine system? Thyroid, other?.Igor Dr. Igor N. Subject: Wide pulse pressureTo: Date: Thursday, May 6, 2010, 10:03 PMHi Group,I'm interested in your thoughts about a 59 year old woman who presented 2 months ago with asthma x 30 years. First visit, I diagnosed her with HTN characterized by a wide pulse pressure (sometimes as wide as 170/90). From what I know, this often indicates atherosclerosis and I do believe she is sycotic in miasm. Her temperament is well balanced and she has little stress in her current life, although most likely as a result of adrenal disruption from working graveyard shift for 8 years, she has had persistent insomnia, which is resolving. My main question is around the blood pressure. I've treated adrenals in various ways, done UNDAs specifically for blood pressure, given all the usual suspects such as magnelevures, and this past month after she said she's been using extra Flonase to avoid nasal polyps, we discontinued that in case that was affecting her blood pressure. When I see her tomorrow we shall see about that. We've also used Olea, Tilia, and some items I may not be remembering at the moment. She is about 40 pounds overweight, but otherwise has no other indicators of heart disease. I know blood pressure can take awhile to normalize, but I'm wondering if anyone has any pearls of wisdom about wide pulse pressure in particular, or HTN from a drainage perspective that perhaps I don't know about. Thanks in advance!
