Guest guest
Catching your breath: How to deal with winter asthma Some athletes try to block out the cold air with a scarf or neck gaiter during outdoor exercise, but it's not always effective. However, Beuther published a study in 2006 that examined patients with exercise-induced asthma who used a heat-exchanger face mask made of high-tech materials designed to trap heat and moisture on exhalation. The results were similar to using Albuterol. Beuther used it skiing one day and found it easy to breathe through even when he was skiing hard. http://tinyurl.com/acrmhk Alana
Guest guest
I have a polar fleece tube that I wear around my neck and can pull it up over my mouth and nose as needed. It has made a difference here in Alaska. But then, who'd have thought we might have a cold winter. Mike McBrideDon't cry because it's over, laugh because it happened. Guest guest
Madeline, I think you made the perfect acronym. May I use LSHNM? Some of my friends would really get a kick out of that one. Too funny! Guest guest
Winter asthma, I got up feeling find this am went outside and my lungs got twitchy got to the soccer court and OMG did it go off. I used the inhaler 4 times in 40 minutes, I'm not going on the nebulizer and going to lay down and go to sleep Dh said I look like I feel bad. I'm just really tired and my lungs are giving me a royal fit. Dh wanted to stay home from going to see Larry the Cable Guy but I told him NO WAY I had this planned for him for a few months now and we were going that I'd take my portable one for the car with me Terry I know God will not give me anything I can't handle. I just wish that He didn't trust me so much. ~Mother Teddy Bear's Early Learning ProgramEstablished August of 1992 From: asthma [mailto:asthma ] On Behalf Of Martha KipinaSent: Friday, February 20, 2009 10:54 PMTo: asthma Subject: Re: winter asthma Madeline, I think you made the perfect acronym.
