Guest guest
Pete and , Here are some stats on these clients..and YES...they do have MAJOR sleep problems. along with many other problems. Can't find the third one, must not be in current clients file cabinet. Has anyone trained up delta and theta coherences? Does the low slow wave coherence go with the anxiety/sleep problems? 44 yo male lifelong problems with sleep, anxiety, irritability, anger, focus problems, itchy skin betas ranging from 15% in the back up to 17 % in front hibetas " " 11.5% in the back up to 14% in front lobetas " " 16% in the back down to 11% front Peak Alpha = 10 C3C4 F3F4 P3P4 delta coherence = 29 delta coherence = 53 delta coherence = 49 theta coherence= 28 theta coherence= 47 theta coherence= 35 alpha coherence=43 alpha coherence=67 alpha coherence=55 lobeta coherence=35 lobeta coherence=52 lobeta coherence=51 beta coherence=20 beta coherence=42 beta coherence=43 hibeta coherence=20 hibeta coherence=38 hibeta coherence=40 All attempts to lower betas (including T3T4G Othmer protocol) have not made a dent in symptoms. Guest guest
Rosemary, Well, any time you have low coherence in slow frequencies, I believe you are seeing the result of neurons that never completely stop sort of half-bursting into beta. They simply don't know how to stop and take a chill. I don't think of any reason not to try theta coherence up--and then perhaps delta if it doesn't follow. Obviously you will watch the client closely, but you may find that those are deeply relaxing protocols and help with the problems nothing else helps with. I'd love to hear how it works! However, you might also give a try to training down the beta coherences in the frontal and/or parietal lobes. That would be a safer starting point and might very well loosen things up enough to produce the change you are seeking. Guest guest
Hey Pete- I have a question about the assessment. In the Assess Gather.bxd there is a coherence measurement for 2-4Hz(Delta). But in the Excel worksheet this number doesn´t make it to the Reports page. I wonder why?:~) I am assessing a client and noted in my TRENDS version of your Assess Gather that this person has high levels of Delta Coherence and I am considering downtraining with eyes open. Yet I await your input on this matter. Thanks a MIL!
