Guest guest
The client said right before her first training session that she felt calmer than usual (although she felt some distance to reality). The subjective calmness might be SSRI’s or placebo. Or maybe even caused by the anticipation and hope of what NFB could to for her (?). A few weeks ago a parent called fearful that a NF session caused " nose squinching " because she had never observed " nose squinching " in the child before. It turns out that the the nose squinching also correlated with hanging out with a new friend who had a habit of doing that. Bruce B NFB and SSRI's Date: Wed, 21 Feb 2007 23:19:03 -0000 My client is often anxious and depressed.. Her assessment showed hot temporals, F/B reversal, L/R reversal and burnt out cingulate. She wasn't using any medication at the time of assesment. A couple of days ago her MD started her on SSRI treatment. She had her first NFB session today.and it seemed easy to downtrain the hot temporals. I assumed the SSRI's had some effect, and wondered how it would affect all the other issues from the assessment. Does anyone have experience and advice for combination of SSRI's and NFB? Thanks for any help. Jim
