Guest guest
You mean that he didn't even give you a clue as to how much to take? I would not have any way of knowing, with nothing to compare it to. (Bewildered look on my face) Tx Levoxyl and Cytomel help needed Hi All! Four days off Armour and I found out it was the cause of many of my problems. I don't know if it was the fillers or the piggy stuff or what but it did me in. Still have the hypo symptoms but not nearly as bad right now. I can at least function somewhat now. Doc gave me a script for levoxyl (because lactose free) and cytomel. I was on two grains of Armour and my labs were pretty normal then although I felt awful. I have no idea what combo of levoxyl and cytomel to use. My doc wasn't a big help since he has almost all his patients on Armour. He pretty much left it up to me. Can you levoxyl and cytomel users please help me? I'm supposed to start this tomorrow. Thank you so much. Dee
Guest guest
Hi Debbie, Thanks for your help. My doc has a private practice....only himself and is on vacation this week so I can't talk to him about it. He only told me not to start too high. I popped 50 mcg of the Levoxyl and 5 mcg. of the cytomel. I think I will need an increase according to my former dose of Armour and going by the labs on that. Four days off Armour and I had five nails break! Happy Holidays, Dee
Guest guest
Hi Dee: I can tell you what I was taking when I was on synthroid & cytomel before being changed over to Armour. I was taking 50 mcgs. of synthroid and .25 mcgs. of cytomel and was switched to 1 gr. of Armour. Since my current doctor didn't have enough experience with Armour, he called a pharmacist to get the conversion from the synthetics to the natural. Good luck with the synthetics and hope they work for you. {{hugs}} Debbie > Hi All! Four days off Armour and I found out it was the cause of many of my > problems. Guest guest
Dee, I think you should call your doctor and ask him. Tell him to give you even a faint idea and then you can adjust on your own. He prescribes Armour but must have studied medicine, right? Sheesh....*shaking my head* Hope you'll feel better soon.
