Guest guest
Hi everyone: I saw a rhumotologist today. She is convinced I have fibromylgia. She was skeptical about TCI. She remembers a study done a few yrs ago that the Chiari surgery was a cure for fm, but she said they stopped it as it is not a cure for fm. Well, duh! Anyway she does not want to see me back till I go to NY. She did give me lidocaine patches which I have wanted to try. She also gave me Lunesta samples so I can sleep. She suggested Elavil, which my new PCP also suggested. When I see her next week she will probably want to try that as her muscle relaxers have done nothing. When it gets bad, ativan and percocet makes it bearable. I don't want to be on meds, but we all do what we have to do to get thru each day. Understandably they don't want to prescribe narcotics for chronic pain. Hope everyone is well. Thanks for all the wonderful posts.
