Hi,

I started back on Armour middle of March. I went and saw a naturopath

last Wed. with the thought that he could test my adrenals w/saliva test

as I had done before back where I used to live. His angle seemed to be

a bit different and I'm not sure what to make of his recommendations.

He took a urine and saliva sample and gave me recommendations based on

what his little system said about them.

One recommendation he gave to assist w/thyroid problems along w/taking

Armour was Iodoral, which is a combo of iodine and potassium iodide.

Anyone have any thought about this? I figure you'd need to be sure you

were low on iodine b4 using it. I tested myself using liquid iodine --

two years ago, it stayed on my skin like 48 hours. Now after using

Synthroid for 20 months, it soaked in w/in 8 hours, which I was told by

old ND would mean deficient in iodine. So maybe OK to use for awhile?

He also did not think there was any problem with my adrenals. I haven't

had any blood work done yet, will soon of course, since I've been back

on the Armour and don't know how well that is working, but based on how

I'm feeling, I would think there are adrenal problems, since I had them

in 05 and feel similar now. I'm thinking I will do the Diagnostech's 24

hour saliva adrenal test. Do you just register with this Canary Club

organization to get a good rate?

also this ND said I could use progesterone suppl. Well, I just had

that tested no more than a year ago by old ND and she said all the

reproductive hormones were great, even tho adrenals weren't. IOW, seems

like he's telling me exactly the opposite of what she did. Is it

possible for things to switch in one year?? I'm just feeling extremely

cautious of these results,...or any really that don't match up with what

I physically feel, ha! I am feeling emotionally better than before I

went back to Armour, and that's encouraging, but things are NOT super yet.

Thanks a bunch for any help you can give.
