Guest guest
I thought I should chime in on the Prozac link. I have been giving my now 10 year old son Zoloft since he was 3! This was per my request at this age. At one time we were taking as much as 100 mg. Wow! I reduced it gradually to 20mg but any less and we have emotional meltdowns and sensory overload. This drug has been very helpful with mood stabilization and completely stopped the crying about every little thing. Before Zoloft and when I reduce it to 12mg Matt will cry almost non-stop. Before Zoloft he would not go into enclosed spaces like the mall the grocery store the dentist the doctor and always had to have doors open. The benefits of this drug (at least for him) are very noticeable. On the other hand when we tried switching to Paxil he became violent and crazed. Adderall (although not a SSRI) made him a wild man, we only lasted 48 hours on that one. Tegretol had the same effect. Not to sound like a pharma rep but this one drug has made the biggest difference in his life. T
