Guest guest
Does anyone know if CFS can cause a positive result on the ANA test? I got a positive on my last testing, and my doctor is wondering if it might just be caused by whatever causes CFS. (My previous tests were negative; this is the first positive I've had.) Thanks, Sharon
Guest guest
Hi Sharon: I have had CFS for 10 years. Ever since that whole time my ANA has ALWAYS tested positive. I have NEVER had one negative ANA. My Rheumatologist said I have a connective tissue disease. My body attacks my white cells so since I've had CFS I've always had a low white count. My ANA was always either 160 or 320 and now it's gone up to 640. Do you know what yours is? Lou
Guest guest
It came back at 640, I believe. But then we repeated the test, and the second one came back negative, which is a bit confusing. My doctor had said that the first one was so high that he didn't think it could be a false positive, so is the second a false negative? Who knows. Thanks also to everyone else who responded to my question. Sharon > > Hi Sharon: > > I have had CFS for 10 years. Ever since that whole time my ANA has ALWAYS tested positive.
