Guest guest
Well, I am on vacation in NY to visit family and friends for 3 weeks. We got into town here on Monday evening and by Tuesday morning my nose was so clear I could actually breathe adequately through my nose. It felt really good. The interesting part is that the only part of my situation that has changed is my environment...I have both cats, confined mostly to our bedroom and the house we are staying at is not A/C and is very old and dusty. The windows are open most of the time here...yet I am still clear and blowing 500-550 in my peak flows. BTW...I am allergic to most deciduous (spelling???) trees here. Our pollen counts here are averaging 7-9 here...with grass being one of the predominant pollens. In Florida, the pollen counts were low, our apartment is A/C, the windows are rarely open and I have both cats still in my room. Our apartment has some dust, but not like here. Yet for some reason I cannot breathe through my nose in Florida despite Nasonex sprays, allergy meds and flovent. My numbers are slightly lower averaging 500, but still green. The only trees I am allergic to down there are oak trees..which we also have here. Florida pollen counts are very low with numbers in the 1-3 range. I am baffled as to why when I come to NY my allergies/asthma are so much different than in Florida yet all of my known allergies are predominant in this area. Im guessing that maybe theres mold I dont know about somewhere in my Florida environment or something like that? We are moving in November to Augusta Ga, so the Florida deal will be a non issue eventually. But who knows what Florida will bring... Anyone ever experience anything like that?
