Guest guest
Hi, I went for a massage last Wed. my 2nd Cranio-sacral one. This time it was an hour, vs. last time only a half-hour. Well, I was nauseated and my head, neck and shoulder pain was really bad, for about 5 days. Not to mention my collar bone and chest muscles hurt extremely bad. That is a new thing, but I think it is from her arching up my back with her hands and pushing my chest up and pushing my right shoulder down. As that shoulder is my bad shoulder and sticks out. So I felt horrible, until today, and the really bad pressure headaches. And I did drink lots of water, like I was told. I feel better today. It will be a week tomorrow. And I did sleep 2 nights so far, after going 2 weeks without sleeping through the night. But I am also taking Unisom, so I think that is helping. I am trying to decide if I should go back, or try someonedifferent. Or try a new accupuncturist man, who is Chinese and specializes in Herbs. There are alot of herbs I haven't tried, and Accupuncture does help for about 5 days. I did cranio-sacral for years ago, and it helped keep my pain manageable. I didn't go to the same woman I used to see, b/c my last visit with her, didn't help I thought I would try someone new and see if I got better results. She was familiar with Chiari and did look up some info. online. And she had me check with my neurologist that it was safe to perform on me. B/c of a statement on Dr. Upledger's website. I want to try everything before surgery. As the Dr's aren't sure if it would help me, and several advise me not to have it. B/c i could have other issues going on; CCI or TC along with the Chiari or maybe not. And my health insurance will run out next May and I have to try to get on my husbands's in Nov. and am worried they might give an outrageous quote for me! They have before, but I have to have health insurance, can't afford not to. And I am to be in my friend's wedding coming up in March. And just alot of things to think about. Of course, don't want to have surgery and get worse! This massage therapist I saw recently was more aggressive with her massage. And I can't do neuro-muscular massage, as it seems to flare things up. But she was supposed to do only cranio-sacral. I know I did feel worse for a while when I first did craniosacral therapy, years ago. But I don't belive it was as bad as I felt this last time. So I am trying to decide to keep going and try it longer, as I only tried her massage 2 times. Or try something new? Any suggestions? I am open for them, thanks!
