Guest guest
Have you or a close friend ever heard those frightening words “You have cancer”. If so, you know where I am going with this letter. I was personally touched by cancer, when a fellow classmate of mine developed cancer in her leg. She has since had her leg amputated below the knee and is on her way to recovering from this tragedy. The fight against cancer must go on. I need your help to do this. I will be participating in the American Cancer Society's Relay For Life. I am dedicating my walk this year to all of the children stricken with cancer this past year. On a local level, the Relay For Life in Round Rock raised over $68,000 in 2004. These funds are being used for research, cancer prevention and detection programs, and patient services in our local community. Nationally, more than $33 million dollars were raised with over two million participants! This year, I am asking you to support me as I walk with my team throughout the night of Saturday, April 16th through Sunday, April 17th at The Dell Diamond. Our goal is to raise $237,000 to help fight cancer. It will all begin at 7:00 p.m. with the Survivors Celebration Lap, followed by a Luminaria ceremony at 10:00 p.m. Please come and witness the number of candles lit in honor of, or in memory of, those who have fought cancer. Your tax-deductible donation will help our community step up the fight against cancer. Please send a check, payable to the American Cancer Society, to my address today: 3315 High Cotton Way, Round Rock, Texas 78664. You can also make a donation by going to: http://roundrockrelayforlife.org . Click on “Sponsor a participant”. My sign-on name is Britty Pudnos Thanks for supporting me and playing an important role in the fight against cancer! Sincerely, Britty Pudnos
