We do the intial physical assessment (head to toe) after baby has eaten and either on Mom or on Mom's bed with them present. They love it! Its a great chance to educate them about their amazing newborn...especially the reflexes, they just love those babinski's. Most of the time if they want an immersion bath for baby, which most do, we slip the soap out and wash them up during that time. They usually don't fuss about it, babies love that imemrsion bath, got to get their ears underwater though! We don't do any gestational age assesment unless there is a reason to suspect something liek IUGR etc. Jan
Guest guest
Hi Andi, my husband has Hep C and we do many things first eat very healthy with lots of fruits and vegetables. plus take lots of liver support herbs. and he does not drink at all anymore. Because drinking makes the Hep C virus worse. So welcome to the group and good luck Debbie
