If you are a Medicare approved facility for the organ in question, I do not

know of

any reasons why they would not pick up the rest of the bill being

secondary.

Yes-- I too wonder about MC payment (2ndry) and pt responsibility?

My pt has EGHP that we are out of network and the EGHP will only pay

$250 per day.

So this would be the same -- after MC adjustment and MC payment - the pt

responsibility would be MC IP ded only?

Medicare will only pay if the EGHP did not pay up to the DRG amount. If they pay more than the DRG amount, Medicare will not pay.
