Yes but I am fulfilling Atul's and your role here......Not much scope

for me to drop work as LP is parttime.

Subject: RE: Couple time!

Internet shopping once a week and a cleaner(comes 5 hrs a week-does all

cleaning and ironing) -best 40 quid a week I ever spent in my life-has

changed the way I live.Milk/bread sos extras shop while filling in petrol

once a week. At least it lets me have a life.Nahi to weekends were simply

drudgery and more!!I have also found a bai to come and cook for me-3 times a

week-she does the basic sabzis-for the first time in 14 yrs am savouring

some one else's cooking.

I firmly believe life is what we choose it to be-Our wants-a bigger house -a

flashier car a luxury holiday One more gold set-the latest computer-it never

ends.

Do you know Rahul's birth changed a lot for me.Perhaps becoz I had him

preety late he made me sit up and realise what I wanted in my life.Yes

money/ambition is important but it is not everything.I took a career

change-am going parttime again-shall earn enough to keep us well-okay I am

lucky-have Atul providing us the cushion and the moolah but he is doing it

on the back of realising his home and son will be sorted out.And I dont

regret it at all.I see all the high powered people out there every one has

paid a price-family time/health/personal relationships- kabhi kissi ko

mukammal jahan nahi miltaa. Now after all these years and being the daughter

of a full time GP mum-I have realised how valuable homemakers are and what a

grt job they do.All my son wants to know when he goes to school in the

morning is who will pick him up that day.

I am all admiration for women who juggle job and home and do them well-kudos

to them. Coz they are doing something that I struggle to do.As for me time

with my child is paramount-I am torn all day to get home on time-and when I

do to be in a state to interact with him rather than collapse on the

sofa...therefore Malini try my advice You wont miss the money and it will

change the way you live.

Shyam we do not have 'coupling time' here. Life is too hectic. Often if

atall we r all at home - too tired to make an effort to chat. Kids

contributeto the general hassle. Housework/day to day shopping etc takes

ages alongwith holding down the job etc. Has got me thinking about lifestyle

choices but are doomed for the next fewyears till kids get independent and

financial pressures decrease.MaliniFrom: mgims
