Guest guest
Hi , I have a similar problem. The dvd will run but it is not " driven " by the BE...so the movie just plays on without any feedback. This is a new DVD computer with the BE all installed but I dont know what to do to make the DVD movie responsive to the BE biofeedback. Specifically, HOW does one make that work? i.e., go to _____get _____, load ______, change______. Please, anybody out there who can give minute instructions. I'm amazed that this BE is not more streamlined, easy to load and set up and with a regular training manual that one could actually study offline. It seems to take a techie for the simplest of tasks. That is not my idea of " user friendly. " Any chance this software is going to be more user friendly and with a " real " manual in the future or are we destined to clunk along? I'd like some info to make it a Happy New Year simply that is. Does anyone out there have notes on basics that they would consider sharing? Something that would help someone make the most of the software at the git go? Thanks Marie At 01:37 PM 12/31/2006, you wrote: Steve, It can happen for 2 reasons. 1) There is no DVD in the drive 2) you have not installed and selected the dvd playback software. BE requires you to install a stand alone DVD player software. WinDVD and Power DVD are the choices I am most familiar with, The OEM versions that ship with computers do not usually work as they are feature limited. Once you have one of them installed you have to go into the preferences under the BioExplorer menu and choose the audio and video drivers that BE will use to decode the DVDs. > Hello all, > > I recently installed BioExplorer and have just started it for the > first time. Guest guest
, Thanks for your reply, that's interesting. I was unaware that some designs in the subscription require a DVD in order to run properly. I had assumed that I would only need the video files I had originally copied to the media directory. For now I'll try to find a design that does not require a DVD. I'm about to start the manual/tutorial for BioExplorer and I hope this will tell me where to learn what media files a design will need in order to function correctly. Thanks again for your feedback. - Steve > > > Hello all, > > > > I recently installed BioExplorer and have just started it for the > > first time. Guest guest
Steve, There may be both DVD players and Video players in the design, Look under the objects menu or on the signal diagram to see if that is so. Many of the designs I use have both, one hidden behind the other on instruments 2 and I just use whichever the client wants, If you go to the instruments menu on instruments 2 you can choose edit and then resize and move objects around the window > , > > Thanks for your reply, that's interesting. Guest guest
Marie, To make the dvd respond to the eeg signals you just have to click the " control " button in the bottom of the DVD player window. As long as the DVD is connected to a threshold or " and " the dvd should respond just fine, > Hi , > I have a similar problem. Guest guest
, Many thanks for your help. My solution was to go into the BioExplorer menu > preferences > then click the DVD Decoders tab and select the video and audio decoders that were shown and click " apply " . Once I did that, I put in a dvd and it showed up ready to play within BioExplorer when I selected a design that utilized a dvd. My laptop shipped with Windows Media Center and apparently that program is sufficient. - Steve > >> > >>> Hello all, > >>> > >>> I recently installed BioExplorer and have just started it for the > >>> first time.
