Guest guest
Hi there! Thanks to whomever created the poll, something we don't do often enough. But these values seem a little low to me. For instance, I take anywhere between 88.5 and 100 mcg and the increments tend to be in 25s except 88.5 and a few others which are in between the 25 increments. (I also take 1/2 grain Armour). This may be from someone new to thyroid disease? ~ > > Enter your vote today! Guest guest
Hey ! Thanks for being patient with the newbie. I revised the poll, maybe you can tell me what you think. ~jayna > > > > Enter your vote today! Guest guest
Hi Jayna, I just took the poll and want to comment on one key point. There is no place to indiciate if you are takin other forms of thyroid as well. Too take a small dose of synthroid is misleading if you are supplementing with T3 as I do. Guest guest
Thanks for the input Sherry. Well, I guess since I started the poll out of curiosity of how much synthroid people take in comparison to my dosage, you could start a poll to find out what dosage that people who take the same things as you do are on. When you say you are supplementing with T3, what does that mean? ~jayna > > > > > > > > Enter your vote today! Guest guest
Cool, Jayna... yeah those numbers are better. T3 supplementation just means you're taking more thyroid in the form of T3, in addition to your Synthroid or Levoxyl. For example, I get a little T3 in the form of 1/2 grain Armour, which also contains T4, in addition to my Levoxyl. But some people take a lot more T3 than T4, it all depends what works for you. I had not heard that about walnuts... interesting. Sometimes it is hard getting used to a new dosage too, a 25 mcg increase is not slight. ~ > > Thanks for the input Sherry. Guest guest
I didn't participate in the poll because I am on Armour. Although, when I did take Levoxyl, I was on 64.29mcg (I took 75 mcg 6x a week) along with 5mcg of Cytomel. Miaja** > > > > > > > > Enter your vote today! Guest guest
Hi Jayna, Sorry, I thought you were looking to collect data for some other purpose. It never occurred to me that you would want to know this for any reason other than symptom relief. The reason I commented is because this is not an accurate comparison if you are not counting all thyroid medication - unless your desire is to know how many pills to manufacture. For symptom relief it is more directly related to amount of thyroid (synthroid, armour, cytomel, etc.) you are consuming. So the 50 mcg of synthroid plus the 25 mcg of cytomel I now take does not equate to or even exceed the 88 mcg of synthroid I use to be on. That was my only point. But, please disregard if the purpose of your poll was other than symptom related. Sherry > > > > > > > > > > Enter your vote today!
