Guest guest
Hi Joy, I am new to this group. I felt terrible when I read of your predicament. Maybe you can get assistance with the electric and water. Several people I know have done this, due to huge electric and gas bills. These people had no children, with kids it should be much easier. I think it was the HEAP program. Good luck, Joy, hang in there. Things will get better. Gail I may not post much, but I enjoy listening to everyone. I am borrowing electricity right now to check my computer. My lights and water were cut on Friday. Don't have the funds to pay. Had to put my 7 and 9 year old with their father. The real nightmare was when the police stormed my front door yelling I was an unfit mother because my place was a mess. When I told the officer (the only female one we have here) that I have Fibromyalgia and need help cleaning she yelled in my face that that was no excuse. At that point I screamed in her face " you don't know anything about it so shut up about something you no nothing about " or something to that extent. I had had a bad enough day without an ignorant officer saying Fibro was " nothing " .
Guest guest
Hi Joy, Call or visit your local assistance/welfare office. Tell them you are a person with disabilities and you power and water have been shut off. Ask about emergency utility assistance. Any questions ask, I'm not shy. Take care of you, you're important to me. Big gentle huggles, Di (Dimntd) in Feasterville-Trevose, PA, USA ) Be the person your pets think you are. Guest guest
Talk to the chief and file a grievance that you cival rights were violated under ADA and have the officers involved disciplined. THere are specific regs on how an officer is to interact in all circumstances you were violated.
