Guest guest
Hi - I'm new to the list and to Hashimoto's. After going through countless doctor appointments where my concerns fell on deaf ears, a friend recommended I go to a Women's Health Clinic for blood tests and guidance. That recommendation has proved invaluable. My TSH was tested and I had a level of 51. Extreme to say the least. I've since been connected with a physician who listens (squeaky wheels sometimes get the grease) and am improving yet my concerns are wondering how long I was hypothryridic, if it caused damage to my internal system, and how long it will take to reprogram and reverse the mode my body was in for awhile. All answers seem to be vague and I have yet to come across any personal experiences where TSH levels were as high as mine. Cancer has been ruled out and I'm healthy otherwise. Thanks for your contributions to the group, it's interesting to relate to everyone's stories.
