I am an asst. Scoutmaster also. I must agree and add to Cliff's post. That is

the way it is SUPPOSE to be. My PDDnos son is in the Troop. However, it takes

ALOT of effort on my part and constant educating of others to keep him there.

His big brother is also the troop leader and very respected in the group.

Scouting is very dear to me and I believe it to be one of the best (if not the

best) volunteer organizations that help boys become men. That said, all Troops

are different and are only as good as the volunteers that staff them.

I would recommend visiting many troops and being up front with what you expect

from them.

Good luck,

Jack

I am a asst. Boy Scout leader in Corpus Christi, what says is the way it

is supposed to be. I have a boy with asperger syndrome in my unit. you can call

the local Scout Office and they can give you a list of Packs and Troops in your

area. Go visit them and see which unit makes you feel at home.

Good Luck

Boy Scouts for special needs

Does anyone know of any Cub/Boy Scout troops for children with special needs

in the Dallas area? Thanks, Kim.
