Guest guest
it retains the same nutritional benefits, it just is a little more difficult to get the cream and milk to blend together once it thaws. But other than that it's fine. D. wrote: >How well does milk, goat or cow freeze? Does it retain the same >benefits? > > Hahn > >
Guest guest
, \ I'm not sure how well the cream whips after freezing, I've certainly had the same trouble w/ pasteurized cream. I say it freezes well because there is a faction of our dairy group that only does frozen milk to save driving time, so the testimony is really from them, though I've got some in the freezer right now and I'll let you know how it is when we thaw it out. -ellie On Tuesday, May 11, 2004, at 07:11 AM, RawDairy wrote: > Does the freezing affect the cream at all? Guest guest
I haven't had any trouble making whip cream from frozen. I let it thaw in fridge completely and give it a couple days to settle into heavy cream layer on top and then whip it. I have done this several times with raw cream. Always seams to work best when the cream is a few days old and get bowl and beaters cold in fridge.
