Guest guest
I think it would be helpful if you described your " process " and your specific situation. The challenges that one faces during the holidays vary greatly - large or small family, staying home vs. visiting vs. hosting others, children or no children, etc. etc. etc. What aspects cause you the most problems? Guest guest
my old mill is absolutely right! Also, ignore anyone who tries to tell you about how they have it all figured out and think they're gonna cure your chronic pain. This is especially bad for people with Fibromyalgia [my first diagnosis] since people actually have heard of it, thanks to Lyrica commercials [a mixed blessing, people recognizing it, not the Lyrica]. Apparently, everyone and their uncle thinks that we want to hear every " treatment " or " cure " being touted. Diet, exercise, and positive thinking have their limits and for some reason, people just don't get that. I feel so bad for the people who got to hear about Lyrica from every person they knew. Lucky for me, I have only a few people who I see over the holidays and they all ask me for medical advise and know better than to recommend any commercial product (I had one person tell me about a clinical trial, but that was actually helpful) Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays Steve M in PA Just say 'no'. Guest guest
thank you. But, I do try to look at others' 'help' from the perspective that they are only trying to help. It can be very annoying talking to all the mini medical professionals out there, but I try to believe they really want to help. Pretty much, my answer is I've already tried that. Me, I've skipped Christmas for 2 years now, and plan on spending it on the beach. Best decision I've made in the 20 years I've had this. Either way, please have a gentle and joyful Christmas. > Does anyone have a suggestion to make the process leading up to and > during the holiday do-able? > Thank you. >
