Guest guest
So, the treatment is torture? I'm a little confused. What exactly is LP (Lightning Process)? When they claim " near 100% " recovery, are they following up or just asking the patients if they feel better immediately after it is done? Why does an exercise program cost almost $800? $15000 Czech Republic Koruna = $771.803 USD as of December 17, 2011 This poor kid has this horrible disease that is made worse by exercise. So treat it with exercise? I guess if they think it is a psychological disease (I still can't believe there are EDUCATED people who believe that) they are following the thought process as shock treatment for phobias. I am shocked, horrified, appalled, scared, worried, empathetic. apathetic, worried... I just can't believe anyone would do that to a 13 year old kid. Guest guest
Hi all, Made me just livid when I read this and what it implies re. the so-called 'treatment' with the 100% cure rate. HAH! All I can think of is .. it is both subterfuge and bulls---. The other thing which comes to mind is .. that if it sounds too good to be true, it usually is. 100% cure rate INDEED! There was (still is?) a widely quoted, published doctor whom I think very little of because of his claims, treatments and what he charges. He is -or was- quoted on this site from time to time, so I do not care to get into it with anyone. I've always found his claims to be about the same although he never went so over the top as to recommend such ruinous treatment. Many patients are not even physically capable of exercise! Or we o through stages where we are not. I am like Steve; I get very ill when I over do things, so I just need to be careful, do the best I can which is damn hard at times. Oddly enough when there have been 'emergency' situations I suddenly had the same old energy I had when I was healthy and did not notice if I had symptoms. (This was when my dad was dying). Afterwards I got sick with a vengence. I knew this was coming, but it was .. a strange experience. A friend who has MS also has experienced the same phenomonon; sort of happens during a crisis. I just cannot imagine putting a sick child through such a tortuous treatment! It is almost as if it was some sort of sick experiment; something that doctor in the UK whose name begins with 'W' might think of...?
