Guest guest
Leanne and I have decided I'll have surgery to remove my prostate. However, a new snag has come up today. About five years ago, my appendix burst before it could be removed. I had an open appendectomy in which my abdomen from bellybutton to crotch was cut open, my intestines were taken out of my body (but not detached), the appendix removed and then my intestines were put back in. Unfortunately the new snag is there might be internal scar tissue that could make my prostate removal more tricky to do. My urologist gave me three suggestions on who is more educated with DaVinci surgery and could handle this complicated surgery. We are going to look up these doctors, get a referral from my primary care doctor, and see which of these doctors/surgeons we be approved by my insurance to do the operation. I happen to talk about my appendectomy on the fly, whining that it's not fair I have to go for surgery again after such a short time (five years) after my last surgery. I'm glad that I whined because it's better to find this complication now then wait until I was under the knife. Now they can plan for it. I'll write back as soon as I know more.
