Guest guest
Went for an asthma review with the nurse today, the first review at my new doctor's since moving. She told me that my asthma is well controlled (I have now not had to use my blue inhaler for over 2 months), and has dropped me down from 200mcg to 100 on my Qvar. I also had my flu jab. She askied if I'd had it before, or if it was the first one. She told me that the first few times you have it it can cause mild flu symptoms, so to expect to be achey tomorrow, with a slight temperatrure and headache, but she also said it's nothing that a few paracetamol won't sort out. Jenn Tha can tek t'lass outta Yorkshire...! Don't brand me, don't classify me, don't tell me what to wear. I'll be who I want to be, and I'm proud to be me. Guest guest
I get mine this next Friday. I had been told that too. That it could cause mild aches and to take tylenol. And some of my last flu shots had caused a day or two of malaise. I am glad that your asthma is well controlled! I think mine is too....they just keep telling me to keep on the meds as prescribed...they don't want to change a med. I had a strange wake up today...winter is setting in, and colds are running around waiting to catch me, and I was thankful for my meds....I remember when I was young and growing up what a cold meant to me....even when I got older and not on the meds I am on...what a cold meant to me. A common cold within a couple of days would set up in my lungs, and I could not walk fast, or do anything fast. I still get that a little with colds...but nothing like before the meds! Still, tho, I can breathe out really hard and hear a wheeze...anytime. It is a deep, one, and the doctors don't seem concerned with it knowing I have asthma. Usually I can notice it, and the doctor can hear it with a stethescope. hugs, Cindi A Hill wrote: Went for an asthma review with the nurse today, the first review at my new doctor's since moving.
