Guest guest
That is too funny. Making me cough! I tend to keep everyone at the hospital on their toes. Usually breaking all the rules and driving the nurses nuts by cruising the halls, and you know how gloomy I am. LOL Madeline > > > > > I have laid the smack down on the docs. Showed em who's boss! Guest guest
Madeline,Fingers, toes, arms, legs, and eyes crossed that you get feeling better soon! Is there an urgent care phacility that you are able to go to in your area instead of the ER if you need? I think sometimes that doesn't cost as much... depends on your insurance probbaly.*hugs*Betsy
Guest guest
Yeah after about 3 or 4 days it does get a bit on the lonely side. The last admit for an " asthma/lung event " as they call them with me, was 10 days. Although, I feel like I am starting to respond a bit better and won't be here that long this time. I like my recliner much better than this room! Madeline > > > > /Is being admitted and awaiting for a room as we speak, she got in > > touch with me and I wanted to make sure you all knew! Guest guest
Thank you Alana! My useless pulmonologist gave me a huge compliment today. His is really not much of a people person, but he is touted as being brilliant. He started to say something about my weight contributing to the restrictive pattern in my lower lungs & I reminded him that I was almost 100 pounds lighter a year and a half ago when I first got sick. So all this is steroid weight, and then he noticed that I have maintained for almost 4 months now (actually have lost 5 pounds, but I think that is the Lasix. HA! Can't stay off the pot, but I am lighter.) He said that just maintaining on the levels that I am on is a huge accomplishment on it's own and that he didn't mean that there was anything I could do about the weight. He knows I can't lose it until we lose the drugs. Madeline > > > but I can walk through the store rather than > > ride in a chair.
