Guest guest
SB882 - filed by Sen. Eddie Lucio. Lucio, FYI, also intro'd SB208 that bars insurance companies from refusing to cover autism/pdd; if the bill passes, they can't say " no " anymore. Betcha the insurance lobby is gonna jump on that like a duck on a junebug if it ever gets into committee hearings (it's been sitting in State Affairs committee since Feb. 3rd). Anyway, SB882 re-names the Interagency Council on Autism and requires their advisory task force to accept input from people with autism, thier families, and advocacy organizations, and to incorporate that input in an annual report summarizing the task force's recommendations.
