Guest guest
Hi , I have four nodules on my thyroid and two endos have told me that it wasn't necessary to do a biopsy, they would " watch it " with ultrasounds. I finally went to a third endo when I wasn't happy with my progress - slow metabolism, fatigue, body aches - neither would try Armour, and I was having problems with swallowing and extreme fatigue. The third endo also said that Synthroid was " the best " script to be on, but she did insist on a biopsy......... My biopsy was benign, thank God. She did it in her office which was a blessing as I didn't have to make a trip to the hospital. She knew the results within a week, so to answer your question, YES the biopsy will tell you if your nodules are cancerous or not. Have any of you who want to try Armour gone to an Osteopath? When the third endo also refused to try Armour, I want to an Osteopath who also practices Auryvedic medicine. After taking my history, he had no problem prescribing the Armour. And, to make you all envious, he checked with me today (HE called ME on my cellphone!) and asked me how " I " thought my body was tolerating the Armour, and how was " my body " feeling. After we talked, he has decided to take me from 30mg to 90mg since I was itchy, and told me to take one pill after each meal and NOT before bedtime as it could disturb my sleep pattern. We are going to follow up in two weeks with the appropriate blood tests to be sure I am at the proper levels - he said we may have to " tweak " the dosage until I have no more body aches and the fatigue is gone. Am I lucky, or what??? in Fenton, MO
