Guest guest
Welcome, Healther! Nice to have you here! The list has been fairly quiet for the summer--probably a boom in L & D keeping everyone hopping. Hmmm, Connecticut to Florida? How are the job options down there? I have a co worker who has been looking, and hasn't been able to find anything worth her moving from NJ to Florida yet. --------Jeanine [OBnurses] Hello Hello. I am a nurse (recently transplanted from Conn.) in Florida. I just joined this group and hope to share some experiences with you all... Sincerely, Hezrn@... Guest guest
Hi Everyone! I thought I'd introduce myself after lurking for a few months, now especially since I won't be working while I under go treatment for HCV. I haven't actually started treatment yet, though I've known I'm HCV positive since '98. It's just recently that I've gotten real sick and had to stop working. My liver (upper right quadrant) is very tender and painful, and I feel like I have the flu all the time now. I guess I'm one of the lucky ones I'm waiting to see a specialist (gastro Doc) to begin my treatments, but in the mean time I'm seeing my regular Dr. and having lots of blood work done. I feel like a pincushion. I've been married since 91', and it was in '91 that I contacted HCV through a blood transfusion after I had an etopic pregnancy. I do have one Son, Wulfe, who just had his 8th birthday. He asked me the other day why I was always too sick to do anything. For the past 6 months I've been way too tired to do anything but go to work, and as soon as I get home, I fall asleep from exhaustion. Now, though, I've gotten real sick and had to stop working. I'm hoping my ability to rest more and eat better because I'm home most of the time will help me feel better. I'd like to ask a question. Have any of you gotten sick like you have a nasty case of the flu for a few months before you started treatment? I'm pretty up on HCV info, but I'd like to know if I'm going to feel better anytime soon? Thanks, and good luck to all of you!
