Guest guest
Hi All, I have a patient that is 25 weeks pregnant who's been suffering from severe eczema from her waist-up. this has been going on for 1 year (She's had it most of her life but this severe flare up is just 1 yr). I am writing to see if anyone has advice on what to prescribe to help treat the problem. Basically, the skin is very red, very dry and very itchy. It is on the flexor surfaces of her arms, her shoulders, belly and chest and she has a distinct red line of eczema from the center of her neck that continues up to cover her face. Diet and lifestyle have all been modified to no avail. She receives bi-weekly acupuncture which relieves the symptoms. the skin has been biopsied and determined to be eczema. I'm considering using drainage to treat it more thoroughly but am reluctant because she's pregnant. Any thoughts?? Thank you!
