Guest guest
While Angel maybe smart and " average " and in some ways " lower average " intelligence; could it be that her baby sister, Rebekah with SID and other challenges is actually " gifted intelligence " What would you do or think if you child came to you and started rattling off multiplication? 10x10= 100, 2x7=14 etc What if you asked him/her what is 274927394792 x 0 and she said, " The answer is zero because, it doesn't matter how many nothings you have; you still have nothing! " Lol, I though I was going to faint when this is exactly what my 7 yr old first grade child is doing with me and my husband. I asked her where she learned all of this and she said, " Mommy, it just came from my brain! " Wow, could it be that she is gifted? and how do you know? and do you proceed in testing or is this too much for such a young child and a child with challenges who also has a sister with greater challenges? We don't want to put any extra stress on her, but do we leave her as is or do we challenge her since she is so intrigued with math? We are finding her to be of high intelligence in all subjects, but numbers to her is like art. She can see so much in math that I never could. She has even taught me tricks. No kidding!
