has anyone in this group been thru oxy or roxy withdrawal or detoxed off

them. i would like to know a safe painless way to get off them. i went thru 7

days of hell i ran out of them i was never so sick on my life each day was

worse it never got better. i had a fever, diahrra, muscle pain so bad i

cryed i could not walk bathe myself eta or drink anything i ended up in the

er my boyfriend called 911 two days ago they gave me a shot in my butt of

duilda and sent me home then i was still withdrawing tomorrw i get my pills ,

a friend lent me some today till i get my rx to0morrw, i would not wish

that pain on anyone i went 9 days once with out them and suffered teribly. i

have to switch to oxy or something else these dont last long enough for me

so i take to many

I've been through oxycodone withdrawal and fentanyl withdrawal. Oxycodone

withdrawal is nothing compared to fentanyl withdrawal and oxycodone

withdrawal is HELL!!!

I'm sorry you had to go through withdrawal. The only thing I can suggest is,

if you know you are going to run out, ration them. I tapered my Duragesic

from 300mcg/hr down to 75mcg/hr recently. It's been crappy, but better than

withdrawal.

its not my fauly i ran out of meds no one will fill them my doctor is under

investigations no one will fill his rxs in my county or any couty i know

one place sams club but they are out of it and now i am in withdrawals and

dont know what to do my boyfriend has to feed and bathe me and help me

walk i can not stand on my own two feet just lay down and cry and moan in

agonny its like being electrocuted, i want to report this doctor for taking

money and not being legit

thank you for understnding i have been thru withdrawal three time this

month i have had a rx ince the 6th and can not get it filled i have been thru 4

pharmacies with many excuses we dont carry them , we dont fill for this

doctor we are out of stock, did not get our shipment in, there i a shortage

of roxyicodone cause of misuse it is unreal i have a legal rx and cant get

it filled anywhere, the doctors office called certain patients but not me

three days ago they were filling his rxs and by the timer i found out it was

6 pm and i paid 10.00 for a ride to the pharmacy and they said i was half

a hour to late. the doctor now wants to charge me 160.00 a visit i have

seen him free for one year in exchange for my testimon in ocurt against a

lawyer next door to me that changed the locks on hi office and forced him to

move hour and a half to ft lauderdale away frome me now they say we cant fill

hi rx cause he is out of county and if you go to ft lauderdale they wont

fill hi rx there either they told me to go to the er i went in the ambulance

to the er with severe muscle pain and sweating form withdrawal and all

they did for me wa give me a hot of duilada and let me go coting me hundreds

of dollars then i went yesterday to my ortho for help he took xrays they

wanted 35.00 down payment to see him did xrays of my neck and back and gave me

steriods perdinsone for 5 days and told me to go to pain managemnt, i just

cant win i have to wait one more week and get my records my appt is next

wed if i live that long i just cant take the pain anymore i am on no rxs at

all except zavaflex and xanax and i am hurting so bad my family ha no clue

what i am going thru and my boyfirend int much help either i cant walk or

care formyself i havent showered in days i jut lay on the couch and moan in

Netty, can you see your regular or family doctor to at least get a prescription

for Ultram(Tramadol)?

It will block most of the withdrawal.

The actual withdrawl *is* horrible I agree.( I've been through it too).

Muscle relaxers help a lot to stop those shocks the tightening up/clenching we

feel so if you have any or can get any take them.

I withdrew myself from 3 pills daily of 60mg of oxycontin(l12 hr oyycodone) plus

8 daily of hydrocodone 10/325. I took muscle relaxers & Alleve and it was over

in about 5 days. I'm not telling you should do this- matter of fact I don't

suggest it, but just saying I did it without having those awful cleching spasms.

I didn't go to the hospital because where I live now (vs where I had lived & my

former doctor is) it's actually commonplace for them to put anyone

acting strangely or getting even a little upset into a pysch hospital.

I heard this from several people re: patients on opiate medication.

The sheriffs down here think opiate use and pain mgt is a law enforcement issue,

not a medical issue.

Netty see if you can get some Ultram. Its not narcotic but connects to some of

the same receptor sites in the body.

I have a good doctor here now but esp down here, I don't get prescribed

enough pain meds either because he is limited by their laws.

But when we take more than prescribed, we wind up with nothing so it's not worth

it.

When you are well enough,see if you can you get a Pain mngt specialist that is

legitimate?

You may need to be referred by your regular doctor or a rhematologist; (I don't

know your condtion) that's the best route to take.

How are you feeling today? I hope much better, it's a horrible, horrible

feeling.

This illness, for me, feels like I'm really very sick with the Flu and

have a hangover all at once.. The pain medication helps so much, then going

through withdrawal, you have the horrible symptoms of that and a full blown

whack attack of symptoms of the illness all at once..

The pain med's, for me, helped all the symptoms of M.E. and the pain,

it's lousy spot to be in specially when doctors and pharmacies think it's

doing the responsible thing to cut you off when it isn't.

It should be criminal to force someone into withdrawal..It's horrible and

like my doctor it is not a medical decision but a moral one, her's not

mine. It should be a no brainer.....give the medication but talk about what to

do, make a plan..God forbid they really talk with you. It makes me mad

I've been there.. Oh, the emergency room..I wouldn't go again, that was

an other horror story.

I wish I could help, just hoping today is better for you.

I went to a doctor like that too. Was he in Boca Raton?

I was new to Florida and thought thank God a pain mgt doctor!

But they charged a ton for a visit and more for the prescription.

I asked if I could take it to my own pharmacy instead and they said " yes " .

well, it was same as you say. No pharmacy has that med and none that does would

fill it from that doctor.

He did you a terrible thing by treating you free for your service and now

ignoring you, but I would get a real pain mgt doctor now or get on methadone.

I do know how you feel.

But you wll likely not be able to fill that prescription-I still have mine and

it was 2 years ago. No one filled it.

I couldnt go back there as it was way south of me and I was lucky my niece drove

me once in the 1st place.

I kept it to remind me what *not* to do.

Methadone is something to consider if you've become addicted and, it works for

your pain too..
