As far as I know, there's no "recent" research. Pasteurized milk is so prevalent, and it's so accepted nowadays, I'm sure many researchers don't even know that there's a thing called raw milk!

Corporations tend to pay for research projects these days, with an eye on getting the results to turn out their "way." So no way are they going to fund research on raw and pasteurized milk and have the clear outstanding results "turn" on them!

Perhaps Dr. Schmid or someone else very knowledgeable (like ) on this list will contribute words to the dearth of recent research on the wonderful properties of raw milk.

For sure, there has been outbreaks of illnesses from pasteurized milk, but none from raw milk. Has your acqaintance checked out Mark McAfee's site? He's an organic grass fed cow dairy owner out in California who puts actual bacteria in raw milk and posts the counts daily. (The milk wins, the bacteria doesn't!) If that's not convincing to your acquaintance, I don't know what is!

Sara's right. Mark McAfee probably has THE most recent research and

experiments done on raw milk to date. But it is hard to find recent

research, because it is in no one's financial inrerest. I am sure

Aajanous Vonderplanitz may know of some. He's at

optimal@.... I also think what Syndy found was good that she

posted on this. I wish I had more, as this has been a concern of mine

also--recent research, more recent than 1933.

Did Aajanous' email come out clearly for everyone to read? I have

heard that yahoo does weird things to email addresses in posts. It

looks fine to me, but I am not sure...
